Trump: Iran War Will End Immediately After Midterm Elections

Al-Taj News – US President Donald Trump said Wednesday evening that he believes the war with Iran will end immediately after the US midterm elections in November, considering that Tehran will not be able to hold out, and accusing it of “trying to influence” the elections.

Trump added in remarks to the press, while speaking about Iran, that he was not looking forward to an agreement and that he was doing something bigger than the nuclear deal.

Trump noted that “the whole world will face a big problem if Iran obtains a nuclear weapon.”

Regarding the war in Ukraine, the US president said he had a great conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that the Russian leader wants to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One bound for Dallas to attend a Republican Party conference that he “would like to reach an agreement, and if (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy) wants that too, that would be great.”

Returning to the conflict between the United States and Iran, it has turned into an escalating tanker war, as the “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps” announced Wednesday that it had attacked two US vessels and eight oil tankers in the Gulf, in response to a US attack targeting five Iranian oil tankers.
